Young Entrepreneur and Leadership Camp
Age: Rising 4th – 9th Graders
This innovative camp will teach students what goes into starting their own businesses. Campers will work in age-appropriate teams to come up with a business plan, with each team member taking on a crucial role within the company. Students will be introduced to concepts such as branding and marketing, as well as a basic understanding of business financials. Campers will have the opportunity to create, analyze, and collaborate with others to develop their business plan. The week will culminate in a presentation as teams pitch their ideas to a panel of real-life entrepreneurs.
In this part of the camp, students will participate in a series of team-building activities to learn ways to work and collaborate with others. Campers will find their own leadership style and discover their strengths and weaknesses. The program is designed to help each student improve their communication skills and boost their self-confidence.
Campers will be given opportunities to participate in an elective class each day. The elective classes offered this year include: archery, fencing, and basketball. Additionally, campers will have ample time to enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming and hiking.
